he Siberian Husky (often called the "Sibe") is a member of the working breed category. They feature a thick black, grey or red and white coat with a face mask. The breed first appeared in ancient times (they are one of the oldest known breeds). They were initially bred for pulling large loads over long distances. They are a popular choice as a sled dog, search and rescue dog or companion these days. Attributes such as their friendliness and sense of adventure are things they can be identified by. They are a descendant of the original Eskimo dog and are assumed to have originated from Siberia.
